#DelhiBurning: The law and order imbalance in Delhi due to the ongoing riots is recurring and the death toll is increasing with time. While the capital is still burning and the visuals are heart-wrenching, several Bollywood celebs have expressed their anger while some are requesting people to stop the state from burning.
While the protest against CAA has been on for more than two months throughout the country, it took a wild violent turn in Delhi on Monday. Yesterday, taking the riots a step further, we saw a mosque being demolished and the videos are all over the internet.
#Delhiburning has been trending on the microblogging site since the riots began. Many celebs have now started expressing the need for emergence how this needs to stop as soon as possible.
Popular singer Rekha Bharadwaj wrote, “There is a conflict, confusion inside me coz I am continuously praying for peace, for giving wisdom n peace n kindness in hearts of miscreants, praying for divine intervention and a miracle.. at the same time reading the news of only pain violence sufferings is disheartening!”
Comedian Vir Das who is known for his comments had a bold take as he wrote, “Dear Indian uncles who have spent years with silent pent up bigotry and racism in them who now casually pass that off as patriotism because it matches the govt narrative, Hating people isn’t the same thing as loving India. You’re not a patriot, you’re a goddam creep.”
