Dabangg 3 starring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha finally hit the theatres yesterday. The fans cannot stop gushing about how good Salman Khan looks as Chulbul Pandey and have showered his character with immense love. This is the third time Salman is bringing back this character on the big screen which has become much more captivating than before. However, Salman Khan is not very fond of him.
Yes, you read that right! Salman Khan, who essays the role of the rowdy, powerful, merciless police officer Chulbul Pandey is not very proud of the guy he portrays on the big screen in Dabangg 3. When asked by Pinkvilla, if Chulbul Pandey is his alter ego, the actor completely denied it and said that the character is totally obnoxious.

Salman told Pinkvilla, “No! There are some characters which look really good onscreen but if you see a Chulbhul Pandey in real life, he is an obnoxious guy. He will be the most hated guy. When you see a character like this onscreen, who is a perfect husband, is also corrupt, does wrong things but for the right reasons, in the screenplay, it looks good, but in real life, you won’t like such a personality.”
Earlier, Salman Khan’s brother and producer of Dabangg 3 – Arbaaz Khan had revealed that the film’s story was quite dark when it was in its initial stage. Throwing some light on the same, the megastar revealed, “Yes, Arbaaz did come to me with the subject, it was very dark at that point. There were no songs in it. Chulbhul was out and out a negative guy. I changed the premise in it and got the romance, songs in.”
