In between all the punches and one liners that Salman Khan is throwing and Kareena Kapoor’s moves gluing them all with Fevicol, one element that has managed to keep an air of secrecy around itself is Malaika Arora Khan‘s dance number in the film.
“Though it may appear that it is only Kareena who has an item number in the film, it is not the case. In fact Malaika has a special appearance in the film as well. Not just that as she would be returning as ‘Munni’,” informs a source.
This happens in the song Pandey Jee Seeti which so far has been centered entirely on Salman with Sonakshi being seen on and off.
“However, so far Malaika’s part has been held back from going on air. Mamta Sharma, who had crooned ‘Munni Badnaam’, is heard as Malaika’s voice in Pandey Jee Seeti. This was meant to be a big surprise for the audience once the song plays on the big screen,” the source spills the beans.
Apparently the makers didn’t want to confuse audience about the bona fide item number in the film and hence ‘Fevicol’ was the chosen one as a promotional track.
Adds the source, “Moreover with Kareena Kapoor in there, the core requirement of a ‘star item girl’ was met. With Malaika, Khans now have an added bonus up their sleeves and with a jig shared between Munni and Chulbul Pandey, it is being pitched as nostalgia revisited.”
