Coronavirus Scare: Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi & Ranveer Singh’s ’83 Really Getting Postponed? Here’s The Truth!

Bollywood too alike any other Industry has been facing the wrath of the Coronavirus outbreak that’s happening all across the world. Recently, we saw the Baaghi 3 and Angrezi Medium cast postpone their promotions in multiple cities, and the effect at the box office too was visible in terms of the Tiger Shroff starrer. Owing to the same, reports have been rife that Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh’s ’83 will get delayed.

Yes, you heard that right! For a while now, it is being said that both the films may see a new release date, a delayed one in order for the makers to ensure that the revenue made by either of the films are not affected. Backed by Reliance Entertainment, multiple meetings have taken place in order to discuss the same, and CEO Shibasish Sarkar is finally coming out in the open to address all the rumours.

In a conversation with SpoboyE when asked whether the makers of both Sooryavanshi and ’83 have come to a decision, Shibasish said, “No decision taken yet. We are talking daily but as of now, things stand as is- that is the films will release on their original dates. If at all we need to look at a change, we will do so closer to the delivery.”

When asked about the thoughts of Sooryavanshi director Rohit Shetty and ’83 maker Kabir Khan’s thought over the decision, “They are equally concerned. We need to first take a decision on Sooryanvanshi as 83 still has time. But both the filmmakers are finishing their film according to the original dates,” shared the CEO.

Well, so far there’s no plan to change the film’s release, and we’re not sure whether the fans will be happy or scared about the same. The Coronavirus outbreak has been scary all across, and we hope its dent is not faced by any of the two upcoming movies!
