Is It Confirmed Or SRK’s Leading Lady In ‘Raees’ Still Under Wraps?

If you thought among the younger guns only Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone managed to grab a casting beside Shah Rukh Khan, then this will change your view very soon. Buzz has it that starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Excel Entertainment’s next Raees will be none other than the little diva Sonam Kapoor.

According to a leading daily, the makers of the film cleared the air of doubts by confirming the news of SRK-Sonam’s pairing via a reputed source. Though more recently both the film’s producer and the director have taken to social media in denying the report officially, quashing any other suggestions, however, another industry insider informed Koimoi that Excel Entertainment is keeping the progress of the film under wraps and even if Sonam has been approached the denial is obvious till a final call is taken on it.

SRK will be sharing the screen space for the first time with Farhan Akhtar, who will be playing a crucial role in the film.

The Superstar will be a bootlegger in the film and Farhan will be seen playing a cop. To be helmed by Rahul Dholakia, the shooting will begin in mid-2014 after SRK wraps up a major part of Happy New Year.
