
Celebrated author Chetan Bhagat, who is popularly known for his novels ‘Five Point Someone’, ‘3 Mistakes of My Life’, ‘One Night @ the Call Centre’ and ‘Two States’, will be writing the screenplay of the Salman Khan starrer Kick now.
Bhagat confirmed the news on Twitter today. Writes Bhagat on the social networking site, “Happy to share with you that I’ll be writing the screenplay of ‘Kick’ starring Salman Khan and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala.”
Speaking about the basic premise of the story, he further posted, “Kick is a about a guy who lives life only for his kicks, a powerful concept and a perfect recipe for a Salman-Nadiadwala blockbuster.”
Salman had earlier played a small role in ‘Hello’ which was adapted from Chetan’s novel ‘One Night @ The Call Centre’. “Have known both Salman and Sajid Nadiadwala for a while and been wanting to work with them. Couldn’t have asked for a better screenplay debut. Will be adapting Kick from original Telugu superhit, with fair amount of changes as well. Huge expectations, need all ur support! Thanks!,” posted Chetan Bhagat.
Kick will be directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and is likely to go on floors in mid 2013.
