Check out the celebrities who stood for elections and emerged as winners or losers.
Ye ‘Pappu’ Pass Ho Gaye:
Paresh Rawal

The actor passed with flying colours from Ahmadabad constituency from BJP. He defeated Congressman Himmat Singh Prahlad Singh.
Hema Malini

Floored the Mathura with her antics, Hema Malini emerged a star from BJP. She defeated Jayant Choudhary of Rashtriya Lok Dal. After her win, she tweeted, “The confidence & love shown by Brijwasis has me so humbled! Even I did not imagine such a huge margin! Final count winning by 3 50 567 votes!”
Shatrughan Sinha

Taking Patna by storm, BJP’s Shatrughan Sinha won the constituency with good numbers. Looks like Beti Sonakshi’s campaigning helped well enough. Sonakshi Sinha tweeted, “A BIG thank you to everyone who contributed to @ShatruganSinha’s win in Patna Sahib today and BJP’s win all over! #AbKiBaarModiSarkaar”.
Kirron Kher

Defeating Bollywood actress Gul Panag from the AAP party, BJP’s Kirron Kher won the Chandigarh constituency. Kirron won by 69,642 votes.
Vinod Khanna

BJP’s Vinod Khanna defeated Congress President Pratap Singh Bajwa in the Gurdaspur constituency. Looks like, Chulbul Pandey’s Pitaji too has a lot of fan following there.
Babul Supriyo

The singer contesting from BJP for Asansol, won the constituency. He won the seat by a margin of 70,480 votes.
Manoj Tiwari

The Bhojpuri star contesting from BJP won the North East Delhi constituency. He emerged as a clear winner defeating AAP’s Anand Kumar.
Moon Moon Sen

The actress, who stood from All India Trinamool Congress for the constituency of Bankura, won with a margin of 98,506 votes. The bong star had created a fuss over cleanliness while campaigning! Well, let’s see whether the actress will make use of her power for the right cause or not.
Yeh ‘Pappu’ Fail Ho Gaye:
Gul Panag

Standing against the dimpled actress, Kirron Kher, in the Chandigarh constituency, Gul was defeated by the veteran. The actress was representing the AAP party. Well, looks like with this defeat Gul’s political aspirations may also become ‘gul’.
Rakhi Sawant

The item girl, who was contesting from the North West constituency of Mumbai for Rashtriya Aam Party, lost badly. However, she tweeted, “I lost but I am happy that @narendramodi has won.”
Nagma

The south star lost her seat from Meerut. She was representing the Congress party.
Bappi Lahiri

Unlike his BJP comrades, Bappi Lahiri lost the seat from Srerampur to Kalyan Banerjee of Trinamool.
Ravi Kishan

Contesting from Jaunpur, Congressman Ravi Kishan too had a bad fate since Congress failed at majority of constituencies. The actor’s Bhojpuri charm failed to gain him enough votes, it seems.
Mahesh Manjrekar

The director, who was representing Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, lost to Shiv Sena’s Gajanan Kirtikar. He was standing from Mumbai’s North West Constituency.
Raj Babbar

Since Congress had a tough luck this elections, Raj Babbar standing from Ghaziabad for the congress lost the battle. The veteran actor received 1,91,222 votes.
Prakash Jha

Well, this pappu failed 3 times, sadly. Prakash Jha lost for the third consecutive time, as an independent candidate in 2004, as LJP candidate in 2009, and Janata Dal (U) candidate in 2014. Jha lost from Paschim Champaran this time.
