Can Shahid Kapoor Recreate The Same Magic As Vijay Deverakonda In Kabir Singh?

Who knew that Vijay Deverakonda will become a sensation overnight? Even I fell for him after watching Arjun Reddy. His compassion, love and ruthlessness just blew my mind and I wanted to just hug him immediately. I know that too much of a fangirling here but come on, it’s Vijay. How can you not? Since the release of Arjun Reddy, he has emerged as a Telugu superstar and as soon as the makers announced the Hindi remake of the movie named ‘Kabir Singh’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, it became the talk of the town immediately.

Shahid is playing the same character as Vijay as he is playing a surgeon who goes through a rough patch after his girlfriend gets married to someone else. He becomes ruthless and uncontrollable after that. The trailer and movie is already creating the right kind of buzz around the corner. Vijay has been on a roll since this movie was released and getting movies back to back. He is at his top game and has become one of the highest paid actors of Telugu cinema.

In fact, Arjun Reddy came as a turning point in Telugu cinema and made handsome amount at the box office. The budget was 12 cr for Arjun Reddy and it did a total business of almost 51 crores. It was marked as a blockbuster in Telugu cinema. Now, we have to wait and watch how Kabir Singh performs. The movie is expected to have an opening of at least 12-13 crores on it’s first day. The run time of the movie is around 172 minutes.

Shahid is being compared to Vijay for obvious reasons to which he has been smartly replying and taking the criticism in a sporty way. The director for both the movies is Sandeep Reddy Vanga and he has made sure that Shahid matches with Arjun Reddy’s screen presence but with the kind of work Shahid has been doing lately, it is clear that he will totally nail it. In fact, a lot of movie critics are expecting Kabir Singh to break all the past records of the actor and leaves a new fingerprint with this one.

Time will tell who will be better but as far as individuality is considered both the actors have a very strong screen presence and we wish nothing but the best to Kabir Singh’s team!
