Priyanka Chopra who is making her comeback after three years in Bollywood with Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink opposite Farhan Akhtar is quite excited. The actress has now made a global career & agreed to do an unconventional film because of the subject in the film. The story is based on a true life event of Aisha Choudhary who lost the battle of her life at a very young age to pulmonary fibrosis.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Priyanka spoke about the hardships she faced in the industry. She was called replaceable and turned it upside down for the directors to now saying that she is not. “I have been replaced. Yes. Once, a co-actor told me, and once, I read it in the newspaper. I just chose not to be a victim of my circumstances. Of course, I went and cried to my father, why me? But then he told me what are you going to do about it? I just made sure to be excellent in my next film and learn the job well. Even if the film doesn’t do well, I want to make sure that what I do is excellent.”

On asked about fighting with sexism and racism in the west, Priyanka said, “You take a couple of days to feel, what you are feeling. I may be strong and I come across strong because my parents raised me to be a strong woman but that doesn’t mean that I’m not vulnerable. That doesn’t mean I don’t have dark days where I feel sad, stressed, pressured or apologetic, insecure, I just choose not to do it publically.”
