Agneepath: It would be interesting to see Hrithik Roshan do in the remake what Amitabh Bachchan did in the original Agneepath, that too, for the same banner, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Barfee: Anurag Basu’s film was earlier titled Silence. And Basu will break his silence after Kites with this film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and, probably, South films’ actress Illeena.
Remake of Singham: Suriya’s Tamil film, Singham will be remade in Hindi by Rohit Shetty starring Shetty’s favourite, Ajay Devgan. Ajay has reportedly been paid Rs. 11 crore which is more than double Ajay’s market price. Reliable sources (read, Reliance sources) reveal that the film will be completed in 6 months. Insiders also say that Ajay left Rajkumar Santoshi’s Power because of this film, besides other problems and tensions.
Bol Bachan: After making three Golmaal films for Shree Ashtavinayak, Rohit Shetty is committed to making another comedy for the corporate house. To be co-produced by Ajay Devgan, it will release on Diwali, which seems to have become a lucky festival for Shetty. Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan will join forces for this one.
Double Dhamaal: It’s the age of sequels and so we have another sequel by producer-director Indra Kumar and producer Ashok Thakeria. This one promises to tickle you twice as much as Dhamaal did. Hence the title.
Vipul Shah’s remake of Ka Kha Ka Kha: John Abraham flexes his muscles in this action flick directed by Nishikant Kamath (Mumbai Meri Jaan) for producer Vipul Shah. Genelia D’Souza is John’s unlikely heroine in the remake of South’s Ka Kha Ka Kha.
Tezz: Priyadarshan directs Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Mohanlal, Kangana Ranaut, Sameera Reddy, Zayed Khan and Boman Irani in this fast-paced thriller, aptly titled ‘Tezz’. The Venus production venture is rumoured to be inspired by the Hollywood flick, Bullet Train.
Housefull 2: Sajid Khan had said after his Housefull had clicked, “This was my Titanic, now I have to make my Avatar.” If he was serious about his comment, then his ‘Avatar’ would be Titanic 2 or, rather, ‘Housefull 2’. For, he is busy giving the finishing touches to the sequel to the first success story of 2010. He has finalised Akshay Kumar, John Abraham & Ritesh Deshmukh for the second part, he’s still deciding on the leading ladies.
Happi: Bhavna Talwar, who made the critically-acclaimed Dharm, will be out with her comedy in which Pankaj Kapur plays the title role.
Gangs Of Wasseypur: Anurag Kashyap’s films nowadays are highly discussed. That’s reason enough for this film, being shot in two parts, to become ‘hot’ at the time of its release in September.
