The Padma Vibhushan award winner and ace Kathak dancer, Birju Ji Maharaj, will yet again, choreograph steps for our Dhak-Dhak girl, Madhuri Dixit Nene in her upcoming flick Dedh Ishqiya which is at present under the filming stage at Sitapur, near, the Nawabi city, Lucknow.
The cast and crew of “Dedh Ishqiya” are staying over at a five-star hotel in Lucknow and are rigorously shooting in and around the city, currently at Mahmoodabad. On board, joining them at the hotel is Birju Ji Maharaj,who would be performing in the city at Bhatkhande Music Sansthan‘s second convocation function on Wednesday.
Also Birju ji will choreograph Madhuri, after cleft of several years. He had laid down steps for our dancing diva, in “Devdas” and “Dil Toh Pagal Hai” and of late for Kamal Hasan in Vishwaroop. Birju Ji gleefully expressed that it is “always a delight to direct good dancers like Madhuri as they catch up with dance steps fast and are involved in dance”.
Dedh Ishqiya is a sequel to the 2010 black comedy thriller, starring Naseerudin Shah, Vidya Balan and Arshad Warsi, is being directed by Abhishek Chaubey.
