After Parineeti Chopra walked out of the film citing date issues, it was recently reported that Rana Daggubati too has bowed out of the film citing date and health issues. Sharad, who was last seen in Ajay Devgn’s period war drama, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior essaying the role of the famed Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The Baadshaho actor now to essay Rana’s role of a lieutenant colonel of the Madras regiment in the ensemble drama.
Opening up about reuniting with Ajay Devgn, Sharad has been quoted by Mumbai Mirror saying, “Bhuj has a lot of action and since Rana might take a couple of months to recover, Abhishek offered me this part. I’d told him I’d love to be a part of his debut film. I have a good bond with Ajay sir and Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) sir as well.”
Further sharing his excitement of always wanting to join the Indian Army, Sharad said, “At least I will get to wear a uniform now. I start shooting in a week. I practiced judo for six years. That will come in handy now.”
