Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is one of the much-anticipated movies of 2024. The horror-comedy franchise released the second film in 2022. It starred Tabu, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. The first film, directed by Priyadarshan, was released in 2007. It was a remake of the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu. The 2007 film starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiney Ahuja. Recently, the makers of BB3 revealed that Vidya has joined the cast of the upcoming movie.

Since it was announced that Vidya Balan would join Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, fans haven’t been able to keep calm. The actress gave a solid performance in the 2007 film Avni/Manjulika. The makers have not revealed what to expect in the threequel. However, their post welcoming Vidya back to the world of horrors has confirmed that she will play Manjulika. Does this mean, Avni’s psychological issues relapse and she again thinks of herself as Manjulika? Is Kartik’s Ruhaan going to be the one to heal her this time? There can be several theories on BB3. It would be exciting to see how the plot shapes now that the OG Manjulika is back!

Is Akshay Kumar Returning To The Franchise? Is Madhuri Dixit Also A Part Of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3?

Akshay Kumar’s Aditya is cited as one of his most entertaining performances. He became a fan favourite with the film movie. Hence, fans thought he would appear in the sequel. However, that didn’t happen. Now that Vidya is back, many assumed the OMG 2 actor would make a comeback, too. However, when director Anees Bazmee was asked the same, he told Zoom that Akshay was not a part of the threequel.

Furthermore, reports stated that Madhuri Dixit will join the third film as the second spirit. It means Kartik’s Rooh Baba will have to fight two spirits, played by Vidya and Madhuri. But there is no confirmation about that. Dixit’s role may be kept as a surprise, which we will only find out once the trailer/film is released.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Potential Cast

So far, Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan are confirmed names. It is unknown whether Kiara Advani is a part of the third film. If Ruhaan and Reet get married, we might see Kiara’s character joining him in his next deadly adventure. However, one character we believe will be a part of the threequel is Rajpal Yadav’s Chhote Pandit. Rajpal’s character brought several comedic elements to the first two films. Chhote Pandit is also a fan favourite. So, let’s hope that he returns in BB3.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Release Details and More

The film will go on floors in March 2024. A few weeks ago, T-Series revealed the same on their Instagram. They shared a picture of Bhushan Kumar, Kartik Aaryan and Anees Bazmee. They captioned, “The third instalment of your favourite horror-comedy franchise is set to go on floors this March.” The shooting might go on for 4 months.

A few months ago, the makers dropped a teaser confirming the release window of BB3. The film will hit the big screens during Diwali 2024.
