A couple of days ago we were the first to break about Salman Khan taking a stand against the rising ticket prices. Salman stood with his upcoming film, Bharat, and delivered a clear message to the buyers of the film for not increasing the ticket prices.
But, now the reports are flowing in that certain multiplex owners are going ahead with the surges prices. As we all know Bharat is a festive release and it’s been a norm of rising prices during such event films. We’ve seen in the past of how tickets prices fluctuate depending on the release period of the films.
Salman wanted to gift this in the form of Eidi to his fans but some multiplexes have hiked the prices by 15-20%. This is the usual hike for such movies but it was Salman’s stance because of which this seems surprising. Also, the movie is releasing on a Wednesday, which means it will enjoy an extended weekend. This also indicates how the ticket prices will stay as it is for a longer period of time.
Katrina recently was asked about the box office predictions of the film. She replied, “Asked about her box-office expectations from the film, she said: “It’s very hard to predict that. I think as long as we get the love and support of the audience and as long as we live up to their expectations, it’s all good.”
