Recently, there were reports that Sanjay Leela Bhansali wants to do the film Baiju Bawra with his Padmaavat actor Ranveer Singh. SLB will be working on the film post Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. While it is an exciting news, according to the latest update, it is still not sure whether the actor will be seen in the film or not due to the dates issue and below is everything you should know about the same.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced his next magnum opus Baiju Bawra last year, a remake of the old classic that starred Bharat Bhushan and Meena Kumari.

Recently the grapevine had that SLB was eying the Gully Boy pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt to step into Bharat Bhushan and Meena Kumari’s shoes. But turns out that Ranveer Singh is already packed in the coming days. Ranveer will also be seen in Karan Johar magnum opus Takht for which the actor has already allotted his dates.

Now, according to Ahmedabad Mirror, it is being said that the actor is working out if he can churn out dates for his favourite filmmaker’s ambitious project. If the two come together, this will SLB and Ranveer’s fourth collaboration including Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.
Meanwhile, SLB is currently busy with his Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi’s famous book Mafia Queens Of Mumbai.
As for Ranveer, he has 2 releases including ’83 and Jayeshbhai Jordaar ahead. He also has Takht co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Anil Kapoor. Takht is set for a December 24, 2021 release.
