While he has multiple projects in his kitty, the one that’s grabbing eyeballs currently (apart from Housefull 4 of course) is Bachchan Pandey which will see him in a super quirky avatar! And we’ve got you developments regarding it.
As per recent reports flowing in, the Farhad Samji directorial is all set to go on floors in February next year, after Akshay finish all his pending projects which include some remaining sequences of Sooryavanshi. “Before starting work on Bachchan Pandey, Akshay will wrap up a period film (probably Prithviraj) and minor chunks of his cop drama, Sooryavanshi. Like most of his films, this one too will be shot in a start-to finish schedule,” a source close to Mumbai Mirror has revealed, further adding that the script will be improvised till the time of going on the floors.
Furthermore, producer Sajid Nadiadwala will start location recce along with the team post the release of Housefull 4, that is, in November and the movie will be shot in various regions of the country. The source further states, “The production team will go location-hunting after the release of Housefull 4, which is also directed by Farhad. It will be shot at real life locations in North and South India apart from sets in Mumbai.”
And that’s not it, there’s some revelation regarding the character too, “It’s a massy character and has several oneliners tailor-made for Akshay. A lot of time was also spent on designing his look.”

Bachchan Pandey, which is a comedy-drama, marks the tenth collaboration between Sajid Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar after successful projects like the Housefull franchise, Hey Babyy amongst others.
The movie is slated for a Christmas 2020 release.
