He says that Heroine is 70% reality. On the other hand his heroine says that it is almost 80%-90% truth. Still, both Madhur Bhandarkar and Kareena Kapoor feel that the film shouldn’t be looked at with a microscopic view and instead seen for what it is. With a film like Heroine which has taken ample references from real life instances in Bollywood, doesn’t Madhur think that the film may end up ruffling a few feathers?
“I knew that people were sitting with a microscopic view and were also thinking about what I would be showcasing in ‘Heroine’. They were expecting certain revelations as well. My only thought was that one should see ‘Heroine’ as a film at the end of the day. There is a lot of fiction added to it after all. I am not here to ruffle any feathers”, says Madhur.

However his brand of shocking exposé has time and again followed that route, whether it was Fashion, Page 3 or Corporate. How could one anyways expect a film on an actress life to be devoid of that?

Smiles Madhur, “Well, that’s my style of filmmaking. I am known for making films with different premises and it isn’t as if I am repeating any shock element. If my films are getting critical acclaim, box office rewards and National Awards as well then I must be doing something right.”
