It was indeed a good morning for all Akshay Kumar fans as an official announcement on actor’s collaboration with Aanand L Rai floored in. Also featuring south star Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan in lead, the refreshing star cast is something to look out for. The film is titled Atrangi Re and it is learned that Khiladi Kumar agreed for the project in just 10 minutes.
While speaking with Bombay Times, Akshay Kumar expressed his excitement and about the leading trio. He said, “I am thrilled to be working with Aanand L Rai, as I have always admired the way he has showcased his stories. When he narrated the film to me, I said ‘yes’ within 10 minutes. It is a challenging character to play, but at the same time, it is such a special role that my heart just couldn’t say ‘no’ to it. I will remember it for the rest of my life. My combination with Sara and Dhanush truly makes it true to its title — Atrangi! And I know that Aanand, in his special and simple way of storytelling, will only add magic to it. As I said, my heart just couldn’t let this one go.”

Backed by Bhushan Kumar and Aanand L Rai himself, Atrangi Re will go on floors from 1st March 2020. The music will be composed by AR Rahman.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom recently got a new release date. The film got shifted to 2nd April 2021. which was earlier scheduled for January 22.
The change in the release date of the film comes in the wake of Akshay’s postponing another upcoming film, Bachchan Pandey, from December this year to January 21 next year.
