Actress Asin, who is not all gung-ho about the social media, recently learnt about a fake Twitter profile by her name. The social micro-blogging site has an account in her name which is being operated by an imposter. It came to light when other Bollywood actors and Asin’s friends such as Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh started interacting with her on the site.
A source close to the actress said, “This confusion arose when Asin’s friends like Abhishek, Riteish started calling her up to check if she had joined twitter. She also came to know that a journalist without checking had printed an article quoting the fake twitter ID thinking that it was a genuine profile.”

After a journalist quoted her on her tweet, Asin realized that a fake account on her name has been posting stuff and she immediately cleared the rumours. Riteish Deshmukh too tweeted a clarification.
