Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma are paired together for the second time, and rumours about a certain off-screen chemistry between the two were bound to happen.
But be it rumours about their romantic liaisons, arrogant behaviour or starry tantrums, the Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl stars are not letting anything get to them. “Many things have been written (about me that) upset me, they ruin my day. Maybe I am a soft target. I don’t have a PR person in place,” says Ranveer. Like his suave character in the movie, Ranveer tries to remain unaffected, “What is PR? Being kind and courteous to a person is PR. I can’t be directing mental energy to counter the negative PR. Though it has upset me, it comes with the territory. It would be blasphemous to let these things affect my work.”
Co-star Anushka Sharma, who has done more films than her counterpart, is quite used to media stories linking her to other actors by now. “I am very comfortable with him, I have genuine respect for him,” she says. “He’s come from nowhere, much like me, and the respect is mutual. Why does every relationship have to be tagged? Why do they either have to fight or be together? Maybe sometimes people take the comfort level to be more than that…”
Nasty rumours apart, the two aren’t letting anything spoil their friendship, “We don’t want to be one of the actors who are scared and act even off camera,” asserts Anushka.
Haters will hate, but if this film works as well, we just might have another Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol jodi in the making! For that we’ll have to wait for Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl on December 9…
