Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma have a lot in common. Not only have the duo done two movies together, they both owe their success to one man – Aditya Chopra. The scion of Yash Raj Films gave both of them their first break in Bollywood: Anushka in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer in Band Baaja Baaraat with Anushka. It’s no surprise that the two hold him in high esteem.
“Adi told me (that) whatever you may be going through in your life, you have to keep all that behind and come and be honest to the most important aspect: your work,” says Ranveer.

Anushka dismisses rumours about Aditya being miffed at her signing films outside the YRF banner, “Aditya is not interested in any other scripts I am doing. My respect for him goes higher and higher… He just advises me on the basis of the movies I’m doing.”

Having done four films with YRF, Anushka is more comfortable with the production house itself but denies any strictness on their part. “YRF has a clean philosophy of making and promoting films. We are allowed to speak as much we can (during promotions), obviously we cannot divulge the whole story. Though we do get to sleep only for 6 hrs during promotions…”
