Veteran Bollywood producer Surinder Kapoor passed away on Saturday (24th September) evening in Mumbai. He was the father of Anil Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor.
Before turning producer, Surinder Kapoor was the secretary of actress Geeta Bali, Shammi Kapoor’s first wife. Incidentally, even after he turned producer, Surinder remembered his old association with Geeta Bali and started his films with a tribute to the late actress. He was also the grandfather of actress Sonam Kapoor.
