Join UsAfter completing his treatment for Neuroendocrine tumour, Irrfan Khan is back in India and is currently shooting for his upcoming film Angrezi Medium in Udaipur. The film which is a sequel to critically acclaimed and commercially successful film Hindi Medium released back in 2016 also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan.
While we all know Irrfan plays the character of sweet shop owner in the film, there was a mystery around the character of Kareena.

Producer Dinesh Vijan has now opened up about the character of Kareena and told that she plays a cop in the film. During an interaction with Pinkvilla, he said, “Kareena is a great addition to our franchise! Angrezi medium is a very special film, and I’m excited that she’s going to be a part of it. We wanted to introduce this character who would be taken forward in the franchisees to come,and she’s perfect for it.”
He further said,”Here she plays a cop, a role she’s actually never done before! We will be shooting in London this June, and it will be great to be back on set with her.”

Earlier talking about her character in the film with Rajeev Masand, Kareena had said,”It’s a small but interesting part as I just wanted to go out of the comfort zone and do a movie which throws me into a different milieu and I would see how it goes. Whether its Homi (Adajania) or Irrfan and Deepak (Dobriyal), its all a different world for me to be a part of.”
Angrezi Medium is being directed by Homi Adajania and also stars Radhika Madaan. The second schedule of the film will soon start in London.
