While the coronavirus outbreak has affected the globe, it has hit the daily wage workers the most. Many actors in Bollywood have come forward to help them and the most recent of all is megastar Amitabh Bachchan who has pledged to provide 1 lakh daily wage workers their monthly rations.
In partnership with Sony Music India and Kalyan Jewellers, Amitabh Bachchan will be contributing his bit towards the fight against the widespread pandemic.

The statement shared by Sony Music read, “Given the unprecedented nature of the situation we are in, an initiative undertaken by Mr Bachchan, We Are One has been supported by Sony Pictures Networks India and Kalyan Jewellers, through which the monthly ration of 1,00,000 households across the country will be funded.”
It further stated how it will be done by tying up with hypermarkets and grocery stores. It read, “Through a commercial tie-up with a leading chain of hypermarkets and grocery stores in India, digitally barcoded coupons have been distributed to a verified list of workers from the All India Film Employees Confederation. Furthermore, monetary help has also been extended to those in need.”
