Apart from being an actor, the other art of Amitabh Bachchan that connects him with the audiences is his blogs. Known to be active on social networking sites, the actor has found his extended family through this technical boon.
Mr. Bachchan is regular on his blog and does it all by himself and does not have any specific team to operate the social networking. Talking about his flair for writing blogs and his rapport and connections with those who visit his blogs, Mr. Bachchan expressed, “Everyone that comes on my blog I call them my extended family. Because they are so personal, they are so family like; have you had your food? You work so much it’s too late go to sleep now… These elements make me feel close to them. So now I have a wonderful group of about four to five hundreds of them and they are very sincere, they come every day on the blog. And I have designed my blog in a way where I can respond to their response, I am not able to do that all the time but I try as hard as I can.”
He further adds, “Everyone thinks that I have a huge media team that does my social networking; No, I do it all by myself. But its wonderful to know them and now I know them personally, I know them by name, I know them by face. They travel from different parts of the world, from South Africa, America, Middle East, Australia and they come just to meet me and I meet them. And they bring lovely gifts. It has become a wonderful community and it keeps growing and I feel very attached to them now. And as I said, now they dictate terms to me, like ‘teen bajgae hai aur abhi tak aapne blog nahi likha… hurry up, I have to go to sleep, I have to go to work tomorrow’ (laughs) So everyday I write and now its 2470 days.”
