
After being conferred as the honorary doctorate by the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia, last year, the young at 70, megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, has yet again been awarded with another honor from the Australian government.
He is now venerated by the Australian Government and its Commission, Mumbai, for his meaningful contribution to the Hindi Film Industry on the celebratory occasion of 100 years of Indian Cinema and also for his role in pullulating and prospering healthy relations betwixt the two countries.
Sr Bachchan blogged, “Another recognition by the Australian Government and its Commission here in Mumbai, in celebration for the 100 years of Indian Cinema, and my contribution towards fructifying the relations between the two countries. I am most humbled.”

Besides the honors and recognitions, he has bagged numerous awards for varied roles, acting skills and lifetime achievement awards. He is also the first ever living Asian to have a wax statue at Madam Tussauds Wax Museum, London, also with statues now at New York, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
