All You Need To Know About Ranveer’s Character In Padmavati

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most ambitious film (Padmavati) so far, is soon to go on floors.

Ranveer Singh will essay the role of Alauddin Khilji and an inside source revealed that the actor’s character in the magnum opus, is the most important one. In fact, it is for the very first time that Bhansali is making an ‘antihero’ film, telling the tale of the greatest Sultan of Hindustan – the sharp, ambitious and larger-than-life Turk, Alauddin Khilji.

As soon as Ranveer signed the film, the two celebrated with some home cooked Sindhi food which the filmmaker broke his diet for.

Says a source, “Ranveer Singh essays the role of the larger-than-life Alauddin Khilji in Padmavati. He has been very excited about it ever since he signed the film. Alauddin Khilji is a character that Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to bring to life onscreen since a long time.”
