With the most under hyped film of the year gearing up for release, Talaash is bound to be an interesting film. Being a suspense thriller and with Aamir Khan’s touch, the film can be nothing short of being brilliant. Surrounded by over publicized films like Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Khiladi 786 on either sides of their release, Talaash has decided to keep an undertone which has gone well because of the film’s substance which is full of suspense.
Aamir Khan’s overwhelming popularity has been on a high all year, despite no releases mainly because of his brilliant stint at realistic vein of television. Satyamev Jayate landed him in controversies and definitely escalated him up the pedestal in public eyes. Today besides being a brilliant actor, he is a humanitarian and a social worker of the highest order, who is using his social image to create and convey good for the people. Delaying Talaash for Satyamev Jayate’s Season 1 has been a wise move of the actor’s part. The lingering goodwill earned then, will prove to be a smart impetus for the film’s success.

Talaash is Aamir’s only release this year. His next film is Yash Raj’s Dhoom:3 along with Abhishek Bachchan which is due to go on floors early next year. Dhoom:3 will see Aamir in a negative role and hence it is important what kind of impression Talaash leaves on people. It will have a big impact on both Dhoom:3 and the Second Season of Satyamev Jayate which will also begin sometime mid 2013.

Known to celebrate the high parameters of art in cinema, Aamir Khan never falls for the shallower diameters of Bollywood. He doesn’t go for Award Functions, not even Filmfare Awards! He doesn’t attend Page 3 parties or is a part of any star world controversies. He has very dignifiedly proved himself to be above all the bickering and the bitching. While the entire industry is fighting to be a part of the 100 crore club, he is working to please the audiences and deliver a film which will be a treat to watch! He has always maintained that the artistic taste of a film is not determined by the money it makes. Numbers are just a beautiful add on to good art. A film’s genuine status can only be defined by the originality of the plot and impeccable execution of the script. Aamir’s open minded takes on Bollywood films adds a certain gravity on his films, which others can’t attain.
Aamir is the man, who despite avoiding numbers has delivered the most lucrative films of recent times. Be it 3 Idiots or Ghajini, he is better known for the films which ran more than a certain Mangal Pandey which by default got deleted from the public memory. But Aamir’s dedication reflects from how seriously and passionately he takes work.
The man has been known to take risks, and literally we mean. How can we forget the thrilling train sequence in Ghulam which is one of Bollywood’s most brilliant stunts till date! For Talaash too, the man took a scary risk when he shot an underwater sequence for the film’s climax inLondon. Aamir who doesn’t know swimming, not only learnt how to swim, he made his trainer David help him perform intense breathing exercises. He gave a perfect shot in one go, which Reema Kagti said was stupendous work.
Though Aamir hasn’t worked in thrillers much, it is his most preferred genre of cinema. He emphasizes that only clean and meticulous performances combined with some neat editing, can deliver a thriller well. And hence Talaash is quite a dream role for him. Aamir Khan is working with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar after a long gap. There last venture together, Dil Chahta Hai, was one of Bollywood’s most path breaking movies which diverted the style of film making on to a new way. Aamir is visibly happy about Talaash and cannot contain his happiness at teaming again with Farhan and Ritesh.
After a series of over dramatic sagas and nonsense flicks, Aamir Khan’s Talaash at least promises to deliver qualitatively good cinema. The storyline which has been deliberately kept under wraps and the promotional activity which has been restrained to the bare minimum, this film will be a doze of freshness. Especially since the plot is unknown, the audiences are curious to delve and find out. The curiosity of the audiences ends on 30th November and Koimoi takes a cue to wish Aamir Khan and the entire team of Talaash out heartiest Best wishes.
