It was back in 2012 when Raazi actress Alia Bhatt burst into the Bollywood scene with Student of the Year. The Karan Johar directed film was a good success at the Box Office.

Circa 2018 and with Karan Johar produced Raazi, Alia Bhatt has reaffirmed her standing as Bollywood’s youngest superstar heroine. The film is a Superhit in the offering and with this, Alia has scored all over again.

Incidentally, Raazi is Alia tenth film as a leading lady. During last six years, Alia has seen only one flop, Shaandaar (incidentally again a Karan Johar production) but barring that film she has given a series of successes. As a matter of fact even Shaandaar had taken a very good opening before falling flat. However other than this aberration, Alia has delivered at least average successes to superhits as well.

Her lowest grosser till date is Highway and that too had eventually emerged profitable for all. Moreover, it was also just her second film and still she had taken a risk to be a part of this de-glam realistic affair by Imtiaz Ali.

As for the song-n-dance affairs where she has got into the quintessential Bollywood heroine mode, twin affairs with Varun Dhawan – Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania – have been a testimony to her money spinning abilities.

2 States was her first 100 Crore Club affair and since the film came quick on the heels of Student of the Year and Highway, it demonstrated loud and clear that she was there to stay.

Meanwhile, she was happy to take a backseat in Kapoor & Sons, only to step in as a central protagonist in Dear Zindagi, a film that got her good recognition as an actress all over again along with Box Office standing as well.

She hasn’t shied away from being a part of an ensemble affair either, as was evidenced in Udta Punjab, another decent success. Enacting the difficult part of a migrant, she was not just convincing but also quite impressive as a performer. Same is the case with her latest release Raazi as well where she has done quite well as a Kashmiri girl and is now on course to deliver her biggest grosser ever as a central protagonist.

With nine out of ten releases of hers emerging as successes (the only exception being Shaandaar), Alia Bhatt is enjoying a 90% success rate, a feat that could well be a dream for many leading ladies both from past as well as present. Moreover, with her future line up being quite impressive too [Gully Boy, Brahmastra, Kalank], things are only going to get further brightened up for Alia Bhatt.
