Ali Zafar is more an Indian icon since his ‘Sun Re Sajaniya’ days and now with his next film with YRF hitting the theaters soon, he is quite in news. Recently, another piece made it to the headlines was Zafar teaming up with Khoobsurat hero and Khuda Kay Liye fame actor Fawad Khan on a project.

Ali Zafar preferred to keep it discreet and spoke minimal on it. He simply stated, “Nothing as of now has really cooked. There is something that is cooking. Let’s see. I was really delighted to see his work in the film. I enjoyed Khoobsurat. I have gone out of the way to promote Fawad in all my interviews and events as well.”

Zafar only has Kill Dil on his plate right now. His focus will be on creating better music and releasing his singles that have quite taken a backseat in the recent years. Speaking of his plans post the release, he elaborated, “Not signed anything as of now. I am waiting for people to see me in Kill Dil. I also want to produce a film for Pakistan. I am writing something. That is on the cards. Between acting and music, I do enjoy a really good film, especially if it is mine. I love to be in the studio making songs. That is something I enjoy the most, which is why after this film I want to concentrate on music album. It has been a while since my last album released. I have been singing for films, composing for it but album hasn’t happened in a long time.”

He also was a part of Tere Bin Laden 2, a film he couldn’t do eventually. Zafar and Abhishek, who are still friends know the reason the best but all we could scoop out of him was that he liked The Shaukeens and he has a cameo in Laden’s sequel. Zafar said. “I liked The Shaukeens trailer. Tere Bin Laden 2 is in order and yes – Pooja, Arti and Abhishek are very good friends for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, I could not be a part of the sequel because of my own reasons. However, I have done a special part in the film. So you will get to see that soon.”

Kill Dil stars Ali alongside Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra as well as Govinda. Directed by Shaad Ali, the film will release today.
