With Hindi Medium releasing on April 4, and Baahubali 2 being approved by the Chinese Censor Board, the latest film to join the fray is Akshay Kumar ’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

Akshay Kumar’s Toilet Ek Prem Katha To Release In China?

It is quite clear that emotional content can maximise their income at the Chinese Box Office, compared to other genres. This difference becomes more obvious when you compare an emotionally film like Dangal or Secret Superstar to a character or plot driven story like Baahubali, which had an average run at the the Chinese Box Office.

Hence there are high hopes from the Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer, with its blend of emotionally driven storytelling and comedy. Movies like these tend to work in China because the audience can relate with these stories, despite the numerous differences between the 2 nations. This is quite a surprise, considering the state of relations between the countries.
