Akshay Kumar has had one of the best years of Bollywood with as many as 4 films (Kesari, Housefull 4, Mission Mangal and Good Newwz) that turned major successes at the box office. However, things seem to have taken a toll now as the actor has landed in legal trouble with a case been filed at the Worli Police station in Mumbai. Below’s what went wrong.
It all started when a recent ad commercial of Akshay Kumar went viral, where he can be seen dressed as a Maratha warrior. Akshay comes home to his wife post a war, who insults him because of his dirty clothes. Post the sequence, The Good Newwz actor is seen dancing in his Maratha warrior avatar as he washes the cloth. This offended a chunk of the society who has bashed the actor for hurting the sentiments of their community.
Owing to the same, a case has been filed at the Worli Police Station in Mumbai, alleging that the actor is mocking the Maratha culture. Moreover, if reports are to be believed, the complainant is awaiting a response from the actor regarding the same.

Meanwhile, the actor on the work front, is busy with his choc-o-bloc schedule that has booked almost all big festive events in the coming year. From Eid 2020 witnessing Laxmmi Bomb alongside Kiara Advani to Sooryavanshi alongside Katrina Kaif and Prithviraj being slated for a Diwali 2020 release, there’s a lot to look forward to. There’s also the Bell Bottom remake which is booked for January 2021 release.
His last release Good Newwz is all set to be a blockbuster at the box office, earning massive collections. The movie based on an IVF goof up, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, Diljit Dosanjh amongst others in lead.
