2020 has begun with a bang for both, Ajay Devgn and Bollywood. The superstar released his ambitious film Tanhaji: The Unsung warrior that took the audience and Box Office by storm becoming a huge hit. The actor who had already shared the idea of a franchisee related to Tanhaji now feels that the success of the film is a green signal for him to go ahead.
Directed by Om Raut, starring Saif Ali Khan and Kajol alongside Ajay, Tanhaji has already crossed the 200 crore milestone and is still counting. Talking about beginning the new decade with a massive hit and it being his 100th film, Ajay in an interview with Mid Day said, “The first week of January is considered jinxed for movies, but I am happy that our gamble paid off,”

It was around last month when Ajay had spoken about his idea of making Tanhaji a franchise and telling stories that need to be told. The actor now feels that success is the green light to go ahead with the franchise.
“The unsung warrior franchise has now found feet. These are real stories [of valour] that need to reach far and wide. My production house is committed to this franchise, though as an actor, I may not be in every film. Regardless of my presence in the films, [we won’t compromise on] the scale and technology. We will have bigger budgets, ” he said

Tanhaji was also applauded for some amazing work of VFX. Talking about it the actor said, “With absolute modesty, I must say we delivered a technically sound product. An Indian studio [NY VFXwaala] has done the entire work, which is a big achievement. The credit goes to our technicians and VFX makers who can compete with the best in the world.”
Based on the life of the Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare, Tanhaji release on January 10 this year.
