Ajay Devgan’s Singham Gets Rs. 18 Crore For Television Rights

Actor Ajay Devgan and director Rohit Shetty make for a deadly combination. And if you think, Golmaal, Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3 and All The Best are what we are talking about, you are wrong.

Thanks to the success of the aforementioned films, the satellite rights of Rohit Shetty’s under-production film, Singham, starring Ajay Devgan, have been sold for a whopping Rs. 18 crore. Reportedly, the Bombay distribution rights have fetched Rs. 14 crore. Point to note is that Reliance Entertainment had signed Ajay for an unheard of price for ‘Singham’ and has also paid Rohit a hefty amount for directing the South remake. But with recoveries like the above, Reliance Entertainment must be all set to laugh all the way to the bank in the months to come. There’s another film in which Rohit Shetty is directing Ajay Devgan and that’s Bol Bachan. Co-starring Abhishek Bachchan, the film has been picked up for satellite screening for Rs. 21 crore! Wow!
