Join UsEyes rolled and tongues wagged when Ajay Devgan and Kajol arrived in style at a special screening of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai in a swanky new BMW Z4. The guests present outside the venue of the screening, Yash Raj Studios, Bombay, were besotted by the sight of Devgan’s brand new two-seater car. Ajay had bought the BMW Z4 only yesterday (July 28) and after a special pooja at his home, taken it out for a ride for the first time for interviews to promote OUATIM and in the evening, to arrive for the special show of the film, with pregnant wife Kajol. What better occasion could he have chosen to get the car on the road for the first time than the first screening of the film? For, Ajay’s love for cars doesn’t end here; it extends to his new film too. The actor, who plays a character modeled on late underworld don Haji Mastan in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, has a scene in the film in which he tells a person with whom he is striking a deal, “Main sirf paise ke liye kaam nahi karta,” after which he drives away in the man’s swanky car.
Ajay is a pro when it comes to cars – he has owned and driven some of the most coveted cars to hit the Indian roads, a Maserati, a Ferrari and a Mercedes Z-class. So much so, that friend and director Rohit Shetty gifted Ajay Devgan a custom-modified Toyota Celica on the occasion of the latter’s 40th birthday last year.
At the trial show on July 28, Rohit test-drove Ajay’s new car. And Ajay gleefully showed the car to sis-in-law Tanishaa when she made an entry in a black top and a short jeans mini skirt.
