The shooting of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Heroine has been stalled, for the time being. An official statement by UTV, the producer of the film, said, “At this point nothing is more important than Aishwarya’s well being and good health. In that context, we have all mutually agreed that the best step would be to avoid shooting further, rather than proceeding with an incredibly demanding schedule over the coming months.”
The news of Aishwarya’s pregnancy had raised many speculations in the industry. As Heroine was the only film that the Bollywood actress was shooting for at the time of the announcement, buzz was that the shooting of the film might be delayed.
“Even as we will truly miss this opportunity to work with Aishwarya, the entire unit wishes her the very best for the exciting time ahead, as she and Abhishek move into this special new phase in their lives,” the statement concluded.
Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and produced by UTV Motion Pictures, ‘Heroine’ was officially announced about a month back during the Cannes festival.
