Aishwarya Rai To Sashay At Cannes Again!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may not have the best of luck when it comes to films making it big at the box-office, but she does manage to procure those priceless tickets to international events. Aishwarya will be at the Cannes Film Festival in May; her 10th consecutive year at one of the most prestigious film festivals.

Ash, who starred as the delectable Sofia in Guzaarish last year, made her first appearance at Cannes with her Devdas director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-star Shah Rukh Khan in 2002. In 2003, she became the first Indian actor to be on the Cannes jury and also the global brand ambassador of L’Oreal with stunning beauties Andie Macdowell, Eva Longoria and Penelope Cruz.

Over the years, Ash has been spotted at other premieres at Cannes. The newly weds Ash and Abhishek Bachchan appeared at the Cannes in 2007. In 2008, she brought along in-laws Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan to the event. While Ash is on hiatus for some time now, she’s trying to pursue hubby Abhi to work out his schedule so that he can make it with her to the show.

Ms. Bachchan has received a lot of flak over the years for her unflattering sense of fashion at Cannes. All the best for this year!
