Amitabh was so gung-ho about the news that he could not contain his pleasure. “And so to becoming a Dada! The excitement and the joy of the first Bachchan coming after my brother and me. Nana I was, but now Dada! The doctors just confirmed it this evening (June 21, 2011),” Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog.

Bollywood’s first family is just about to make another addition to its ranks. Amitabh went on to explain their family tree on his blog. “The legacy of my Father lives on. My Father and my Mother brought forth two sons – Amitabh and Ajitabh … Amitabh had two Shweta and Abhishek. Ajitabh had four, Nilima, Namrata, Naina and Bhim. My brothers children are yet to be married. My daughter is and has two of her own Navya and Agastya, whose Nana I am … and now cometh the progeny of my son that shall bear the surname Bachchan – the first in this generation …”
Of course, Abhishek and Amitabh were flooded with contratulatory messages from friends, fans and well-wishers. Amitabh Bachchan replied to many of the congratulatory messages on his Twitter page.
