After Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar Is In A Mood To Mend His Relation With Ajay Devgn Next

In an interview to PTI Producer-Director Karan Johar got close and personal about his upcoming show India’s Next Superstars.

He thinks that the reason for the success of Khans, Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh and other actors such as Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar lies in the fact that, they have brought relevant content time and again to their viewers.

“They are just going on and on… and more respect to them. It is difficult to stay relevant. I will be completing 20 years in the industry in 2019. It is not easy (to stay here). Getting success is not that difficult if you do your job well, but maintaining it is tough,” Johar told PTI.

The 45-year-old-filmmaker said the recent times are challenging for upcoming actors to attain the stardom that the Khans enjoy due to the increasing popularity of the digital media and also that the audiences have access to various avenues of entertainment.

“I think the Khans have had a legacy of great cinema and longevity. All of them have been around for three decades, and they have built an equity of audience who only watched films.

“It is a big challenge for the younger actors to live up to the audience base that has been created by these three megastars. Hats off to Shah Rukh, Aamir, Salman, Akshay and Ajay Devgn for being relevant even after working for three decades,” he said.

Earlier we say Karan saying that he and the team of his TV show ‘India’s Next Superstars‘ would ‘lovingly’ welcome Kangana on the show, with whom he was involved in a war of words over the nepotism debate. Now he is all praises for Ajay Devgn with whom he had fallout at the time when Ae Dil Hai Mushkil versus Shivaay clashed during Diwali 2016.

His upcoming reality TV show will provide an opportunity to aspiring actors with no connections in the film industry.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty will also be seen as part of the judging panel. And Johar is very excited about sharing the panel with him.”Our combination is great as we come from different brands of cinema. But the one thing common between us is the love and passion for our work and the film industry,” he added.
