After Badhai Ho, Sanya Malhotra Bags Vishal Bhardwaj’s Next

Sanya Malhotra who was last seen in Aamir Khan Dangal, is all set to star in Vishal Bhardwaj’s​​ Churiyan. She is currently busy with Badhai Ho which also stars Ayushmann Khurrana.

The film, which is about two sisters and their issues, will have Sanya Malhotra playing one of the leads.

A source told DNA, “Vishal was in talks with a few actresses. But he finally zeroed in on Sanya. He had liked her performance in Dangal and right after the first meeting with her, he had decided that he would want her to be a part of the film. Sanya, who has signed the film, will play the younger sibling in it.” The actress is currently shooting for her second Bollywood film opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.

Earlier, the reports suggested that Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra were going to reunite for this film but recently Vishal had tweeted over these reports calling the news baseless.

The source added, “Fatima is not even in contention for the role of the older sibling. They are in talks with a few actresses already. As of now, only Sanya has been locked in for the film.”

The actress recently wrapped filming for Badhai Ho. The film also stars Ayushmann Khurrana in a lead role.
