Join UsThe Bollywood seems to be smitten by one of India’s most popular authors, Chetan Bhagat. And now after his books like 3 Mistakes Of My Life, 2 States, Half Girlfriend and A Night At The Call Center, yet another book of Bhagat will have a film adaptation. Yes, you read that right!
Chetan Bhagat’s 2010 novel, titled, Revolution 2020 is all set to be made into a full-length feature film! And what’s more, is that the film will be directed by none other than Bhagat himself! During his latest visit to Kota city, Chetan took to his social media handle to announce his decision of donning the director’s hat!
Chetan is heard saying, “Happy New Year 2020! Have a great New Year and 2020 reminds me of Revolution 2020, my book which I wrote back in 2010 and I thought 2020 is so far but here we are in 2020. I am here in Kota, in one of the coaching classes here because as you know Revolution 2020 is partly set here. I am very excited to share news, that my New Year resolution is to do something different, challenging and scary which is what I tell you guys to do in my motivational talks. I want to turn a director and I want to direct a movie now and the movie I am gonna direct is Revolution 2020. Stay tuned, Happy New Year!”

The author, who was last seen on the small screen as the judge of celebrity dance reality show, Nach Baliye Season 7, captioned his announcement as, “In my motivational talks, I urge people to try new things and get out of their comfort zone. This new year, I decided to do the same. I’d like to turn director. The first movie I’d direct would be Revolution 2020. Excited. Nervous. Have to learn a lot. While Arjun Kapoor was seen in both the last Chetan Bhagat film adaptations, it will be interesting to see what the casting of the third movie looks like!
