Actress Jiah Khan Commits Suicide

Actress Jiah Khan who ventured into Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd is no more. With a bold and controversial entry, romancing a much older Amitabh Bachchan in the film, Jiah Khan was labelled a good actress by many critics after her first film itself. Jiah who was 25 is reported to have committed suicide at her residence in Mumbai’s Juhu area.

Having appeared in films like Aamir Khan’s Ghajini, Sajid Khan’s Housefull and Chance Pe Dance with Shahid Kapoor, she was first seen in the Bollywood circuits in Tahir Hussain’s Dulha Bikta Nahin.

Jiah who has recently renounced her screen name, had changed it back to Nafisa. Her impending two film deal with UTV is left hanging by this sudden shocking event. The film fraternity was left shocked at the unnatural demise of this sensuous actress.

Though the real reason of her suicide in unknown, at the moment it is an extremely mournful situation for her family especially her mother Rabiya, who lived with her in Mumbai.
