In Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, the character played by Katrina Kaif is shown to be a Salman Khan fan. Thus, there is a scene where a die-hard fan character of her meets Salman Khan – the star. Salman essayed himself quite literally as he is shown giving autograph to his beloved fan. We could completely see his ‘superstar’ persona on screen!
Amitabh Bachchan
It’s hard to miss Big B when he plays himself. In Bombay Talkies, a fan goes all around the world just to give “murabba” to Amitabh Bachchan as per his father’s wish and at last he meets him in an overjoyed moment. Particularly, I like this scene because it might be a dream for thousands of people to meet the angry young man.
Katrina Kaif
This was the first movie of Katrina Kaif, where she did a guest appearance as herself in Bombay Talkies. A small kid wants to be dancer like Katrina Kaif from the famed Sheila Ki Jawani song. In a dream sequence, Katrina is seen talking to the kid about his passion for dancing. Indeed it became a very cute scene in the movie.
Ranbir Kapoor
Hunky handsome Ranbir Kapoor plays himself in Bhoothnath Returns. He took up the role to promote the importance of voting cards and voting.
Juhi Chawla
Remember bubbly queen Juhi Chawla’s cameo role in Andaz Apna Apna? When her car breaks down and meets Aamir Khan on the way. Later they became an item in the movie. And I must say it was a pleasure to see our Qayamat couple together in the film.
Hrithik Roshan
Luck By Chance was a movie on Bollywood as an industry. It was but obvious that many stars can be seen in the movie as it is based on them. Though there are many actors in the movie, who really catches the eye is Hrithik Roshan. He completely stole the limelight from the movie through Baawre song.

Govinda did a small cameo in Andaaz Apna Apna movie, where Juhi Chawla and Govinda are seen doing a film scene together and Amar gets jealous to see it.

In Guddi, another movie based on Bollywood’s lifestyle, Jaya Bachchan’s character falls in love with Dharmendra, who plays himself in the movie. Dharmendra makes Guddi visit his movie set and introduces her with some actors in the movie like Ashok Kumar, Pran, Amitabh and many more.
Shah Rukh Khan
The trend of doing cameos is now a common thing in the industry. In the upcoming movie by YRF – Fan, SRK will be playing the role of a die hard fan of ‘Shah Rukh Khan – The Superstar’. This movie is slated to release in August, 2015. It would be fun to watch SRK playing this character.
Akshay Kumar
The latest among the actor to play himself is Akshay Kumar. In the upcoming comedy drama, The Shaukeens, Akki is not only playing himself but the actor has also cracked a few jokes at his own expense. Well, we can’t wait to see the actor pull off this cameo!
