Aamir Khan To Star In Thug; Will Start Prep Post Dangal Release

It is officially confirmed that Aamir Khan will start working on Thug after the release the Dangal.

Thug, which is produced under the banner of YRF was initially offered to Hrithik Roshan, but the actor was not satisfied with the script and had asked director Vijay Krishna Acharya to tweak it. When things didn’t work out, Hrithik moved out of the project.

Director Vijay, who had previously directed Aamir in Dhoom 3, approached him with the tweaked script of Thug, Aamir immediately agreed to be the part of this project.

Reports suggest that the lead character in Thug is supposed to be on a lighter note and also that it may be closer to Aamir’s Rangeela role.

Aamir is currently gearing for Nitesh Tiwari’s biographical sports drama Dangal. The film also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in key roles. It is set to hit the screens on 23rd December, 2016.
