For those who wondered whether the initiative started by Aamir Khan would die down after being ‘out of sight, out of mind’, here is some good news. His television show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is now arriving on home video as well, hence turning out to be first such high profile show featuring a celebrity to see such a revival.
“This is a first thing to happen and the timing couldn’t have been better”, says a close associate, “At the time when country is rising in unison and people are coming out on streets to let their voice be heard when it comes to prevailing social issues, Aamir’s show should prove to be a catalyst all over again.”
While the DVDs would be launched later this month, it is expected that Aamir would be stepping up on the platform all over again and give it a much dignified launch.
“It is inconsequential that whether the revival of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ was always planned this way or if Aamir has timed it as per the current situation in the country. The fact remains that it was absolutely necessary for the TV show to not die down. Aamir started it all with noble intentions and it would have been injustice to his and everyone else’s efforts had it not made further progress”, the associate adds.
Though it is still uncertain that given Aamir’s hectic schedule due to Dhoom:3 and P.K., if at all there would be a second season of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ in months to come, one thing is for sure that with the show arriving again, the movement that he wanted to bring won’t find a pause.
