Aamir Khan is back on the small screen with the next installment of his Television show Satyamev Jayate. Through the show, the actor tackles several social issues and this time has landed into legal trouble because of the same.
The episode, which was aired on October 19th, dealt with the issue of Homosexuality. In the episode, Aamir discussed the lifestyles of homosexuals and transgenders in India. Under the Indian Penal Code, article 377 homosexuality is illegal in India and thus Mandeep Kaur, an advocate from Chandigarh, filed a petition in the court stating that Aamir has violated the law through his show by ‘promoting’ homosexuality.
Civil judge Jaswinder Singh has issued a notice to Aamir Khan seeking a reply by December 19.
