Much was being written about Salman Khan skipping his favourite Eid spot next year but now things have just been officially confirmed. Post Dabangg 2, Salman doesn’t have any film in hand that would be ready for release by next year’s Eid. Hence, Salman who has smashed box office records each year during the festive season of Eid is finally losing his favorite spot.
Salman’s magnum opus and much ambitious project ‘Sher Khan’ has been temporarily postponed for an indefinite period of time. Reason? A Royal Bengal tiger! Yes, you just heard it right.
The Royal Bengal tiger featuring in Ang Lee’s Life of Pi had caught an immediate frenzy and Salman was no different! Sohail Khan, who had been looking for a tiger to be paired as a lead character opposite Salman Khan is now unnerved to the core. Salman, who saw the footage of the tiger from Life of Pi was impressed by his character called Richard Parker. He called up his younger brother and showed him the tiger’s footage, thereby asking him to get hold of one of these tigers for Sher Khan.
In the soon to release Life of Pi, the tiger embarks on the voyage across the rough seas with the lead character. Sohail, who has promised to start the project only after finding one such tiger, real or animated, has postponed his film’s launch for an indefinite period.
Funny as it seems, who knew that a tiger substantially been picked to play the lead will prove to be a villain in Sohail’s life.
