This dialogue of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why gives us goosebumps every single time: “Who knew that a college life would be so difficult, full of challenges and loneliness. The kind of loneliness that would make you an insomniac.” Talking about the show, Clay Jensen finds a box with 13 reasons on why his classmate, Hannah Baker committed suicide and left these letters for people around her.

The show is based on the book of the same name written by Jay Asher. The story revolves around a high school girl, Hannah who is bullied and betrayed and commits suicide. The show will grip you on like nothing else and chances are you would binge watch in one go. It’s depressing to see her dying in front of our eyes and had a great impact on teens all over the world, who are going through the same situation. The graphic scene where Hannah takes her life, by slitting her wrist is just inconsolable. Netflix then decided to remove this disturbing scene before the release of Season 3 and tweeted:

“We have heard from many young people that 13 Reasons Why encouraged them to start conversations about difficult issues like depression and suicide and get help — often for the first time. As we prepare to launch Season 3 later this summer, we’ve been mindful about the ongoing debate around the show. So on the advice of medical experts, including Dr Christine Moutier, Chief Medical Officer at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, we’ve decided with creator Brian Yorkey and the producers of 13 Reasons Why to edit the scene in which Hannah takes her own life from Season 1.”

Season 2 came last year in May and third season is going to come later year. If you haven’t watched it yet, watch it right now! It’s really intriguing and a must watch.
