Himesh Reshammiya is all set for the release of his sequel to Aapka Surroor titled Teraa Surroor. The composer-turned-actor has juggled the two tasks of acting and composing music for the film. This thriller-romance has seven songs in the album.

Here’s a look at the songs from Teraa Surroor:

Main Woh Chaand – Teraa Surroor Music Review

The first song from the album is Main Woh Chaand. The song is a melancholic number that has been penned quite neatly by Sameer Anjaan. While the song is poignant, Darshan Raval’s vocals bear a striking resemblance to Arijit Singh. Also a certain portions of the song sound just like Mithoon’s Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2. Although overall the song is quite easy-going on the ears and may even find a connect with the audiences.

Bekhudi – Teraa Surroor Music Review

Bekhudi is the second number from the album and with its crowd-pleasing musical arrangements, the song could be another hit from the album. It is a duet sung by Darshan Raval and Aditi Singh Sharma. This is a one-time hear song.

Wafa Ne Bewafai – Teraa Surroor Music Review

Any song that Arijit Singh croons, has another effect altogether. Wafa Ne Bewafai is one of those. This is probably the best song from the album. Not only does Arijit do a great job, it is also Sameer Anjaan’s lyrics that work well. The musical arrangements are brilliant with a chorus consisting of English vocals of Suzzanne D’Mello, Neeti Mohan.

Teri Yaad – Teraa Surroor Music Review

Next up is Teri Yaad and it is a typical Himesh Reshammiya number. The composer sings it along with Baadshah’s rap portions. Himesh is back to his nasal vocals and the song reminds you in bits and pieces of his famed track ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne‘.

This song also has a reprise version which is minus Baadshah’s rap and has only Himesh’s vocals. The music for the reprise version is serene and has its focus more on the lyrics. Unfortunately, none of the versions of this song appeal in any way.

Adhuri Zindagi Hai – Teraa Surroor Music Review

Adhuri Zindagi Hai is a song that is high on passion and pace. The song’s string vocals have been given by Rituraj Mohanty backed with a great guitar arrangement. This is one of those songs where the hook line will stick to your tongue in the first hearing itself. As a composer, Himesh gets quite ambitious with this number and tries to present something he is not used to. The semi-rock composition moves from high pitch to low pitch with ease. This is a decent number from the album.

Ishq Samundar – Teraa Surroor Music Review

Anand Raj Anand’s superhit composition from KaanteIshq Samundar has been reloaded by Himesh in this album. He gives it a middle-eastern touch with vocals by Kanika Kapoor and his own. What doesn’t work at all for this song is the terrible chorus. Also, the musical arrangements fail to uplift this song. I definitely prefer the original one!

The Last Word – Teraa Surroor Music Review

The album of Teraa Surroor is easily commercially viable. The composer has the quality to come up with songs that are high on crowd-pleasing value and that is his specialty. This album is not out-rightly bad but has its moments of dull. My picks would be Main Woh Chaand and Wafa Ne Bewafai. I am going with a 2.5/5 for the album.
