Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl Music Review: Aadat Se Majboor

The first song of the album, Aadat se majboor, has been sung by Salim-Sulaiman’s favourite singer, Benny Dayal, and has additional rap rendered by the star of the movie, Ranveer Singh. Benny Dayal’s vocals in this R&B song are melodic and sharp. The song has a nice hook (kya karu ooh ladies). A stylish trumpet intro before the rap bridge sounds catchy and runs along in the background as the rap goes on. Ranveer is a good rapper and adds great value to the song, both musically and commercially. The remix of the song, interestingly, starts off with the same infectious trumpet tune which was a part of the bridge in the original version. Good synth sounds clubbed with a great hook make the remix version sound fine.

Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl Music Review: Jazba

Jazba is sung by Shilpa Rao. The vocals are refreshing and have great presence. The song has a typical Indian structure and has instruments such as the dholak. It’s also has a synth lead playing along and has good use of reverb. The remix of the same track, however, has vocals sung by Anushka Manchanda. The remix is a groovy dance track which has the potential to be a club hit.

Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl Music Review: Thug Le

Vishal Dadlani and Shweta Pandit’s duet, Thug le, is packed with enthusiasm, energy and fun. The song captures the essence of the emotion of attraction and is overall a feel good song. The violin loop in the song gives it a lot of character and distinctiveness. It is well weaved track and has a good arrangement.

Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl Music Review: Jigar Da Tukda

Jigar da tukda is an upbeat, fast, groovy bhangra song with Punjabi lyrics and vocals. The interesting part is the use of drums, the beat pattern and the sound of the snare. Sung by Shraddha Pandit and Salim Merchant, it is a pleasant surprise and a fine mood enhancing song.

Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl Music Review: Fatal Attraction

Salim–Sulaiman’s Fatal Attraction is a melodic trance track which takes you on a journey. This instrumental track has a pace and shifts into various emotions. Parts of it ooze out a lounge-like feel. It is a great song for a long drive!
